LOVING THAT TWILL!!

I made this cute little card for a consultant challenge. The challenge was to use Twill on your card or project. Since I am so behind in my Christmas cards, I thought I would take advantage of the challenge to get my mojo going again. I used a grass cardstock base. I affixed the vanilla twill to the card base. I cut the poinsettias out of cherry felt. I stacked the petals, and used 3 yellow twinkle stickers for the center. I attached that to the card on top of the twill. I then stamped and cut the label using the Vintage Labels 2 stamps set and die and then stamped the Noel from the Nordic Noel set. I used Versafine Onyx ink. I attached the label using 3D foam. Cute and simple, I love it! Thanks for stopping by. If you would like to order any of these products, drop me an email or call me! You can also order online through my a muse|studio website

SPLASH!!!

Some fun cards I made tonight playing with all my new a muse|studio Splash inks! They are so fun, and even the first attempts that I thought would be rejects ended up being turned into cards!!!

Cherry and Orange Splash ink made this background! The tree is the mask I used for the next two cards. The moon is a circle punch of squash! Nothing went to waste with this project!!

I had fun dying the onyx bakers twine for this card, I put on my non-latex gloves, gathered up the twine in my hand, and sprayed it with the wasabi splash....mooshed it around till it was all covered with the ink, and then spread it out to dry......super fun! Don't attempt to do this without wearing gloves, the ink dries quickly and leaves your hands a lovely shade of green!!

I used a mask for the tree in this one, cut that cute little owl out after I stamped it, and mounted him in the tree with 3D foam. The bat is a die from the candy box die set, he was the perfect size for this card!

I used Splash inks for all the backgrounds, for the two cards with the stamped tree, I made a mask with the tree, stamped the tree on the background of the card, then masked it and sprayed it with the Splash inks. They came out so cute!!! The Spooky Boo Day stamp is an October sale stamp, stay tuned for more information on the October Stamp sets on sale...complete info due out later this week!!!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

Thought I would share a quick little card I made for my mother for mother's day....the colors matched the wrapping paper I wrapped her presents in.......I originally didn't think I wanted to put a ribbon on it, but it looked a little plain for a festive mother's day, so I added it.....

All products A Muse|Studio except black Momento Ink...Floral Duets stamp set, Essential Sentiments stamp set, vanilla cardstock, blueberry ink and fern silky crush ribbon (I love this stuff....if you haven't got any of this ribbon yet, you must....email me and I can hook you up with some, or any of these products.....)  I used a stamp positioner to line everything up the way I wanted, and a ruler to make the stem of the flower with a topic multiliner.

Thanks for looking, hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day!!!

BLOWING IN THE WIND!

This week the theme for the challenge over at the A Muse|Studio Challenge Blog is "which way does the wind blow?" and I thought, what am I going to do with that? So...I looked through my stamps and yes, my kite jumped out at me....several times.....but then, I saw it, perfect!!! The hot air balloon from the Love Conquers All stamp set. I stamped it on sugar card stock, using bubblegum, lime and grape ink, and cut the 3 hot air balloons out close to the edge. Using the cloud dies, I cut the clouds from sugar card stock. Using the grass die I cut the grass 3 times, once from grass card stock, and twice from the gingham grass card stock.

I stamped the sentiment "Come fly with me" from the Come Fly With Me stamp on the grass colored grass. I then layered one of the gingham grass die cuts behind the grass die cut using Tombow adhesive. Using 3D foam squares I adhered the 2 layers of grass to a Sky 4 bar card base. I then applied Tombow adhesive to the back of the 2nd gingham grass die cut and slid it down behind the grass on the card base and pressed it in place.

Next I started layering the hot air balloons and clouds on the card, using Tombow adhesive, and 3D foam squares, I used 2 layers of foam to create more dimension on one of the hot air balloons.

If you would like to order any of the products I used to make this card, hop on over to my website and you can order online and have it delivered right to your door! Or if you would like you can always zip me an email. If your order will be over $150 let me place the order for you and you can qualify for hostess rewards!

BLOOM WHERE YOU ARE PLANTED!

Been a bit absent from the challenges the last couple weeks but glad to be back up and creating.

For this weeks Blog Challenge the theme is "Bloom Where You Are Planted". So for my card I decided to go super clean and simple. I love the Friend to Friend stamp set, because you have such choice of botanicals and sentiments. I have several Thank You cards to make, so that was the sentiment I chose for my card.
I used Papaya for the card base, and cherry and onyx mats. I stamped the flower using Versafine Onyx ink on sugar card stock. I layered the mats, using 3D foam mount in between the onyx and cherry mats, and tomboy adhesive to adhere the sugar layer to the onyx layer, and then the cherry to the papaya card base. I stamped the sentiment with Versafine Onyx ink....quick and simple and a little elegant!!

If you see anything you would like to order, you can drop me an email, or check out my a muse|studio website..... http://amusestudio.com/tobey

Hope you will play along with the challenge this week. Click here to go to the Blog Challenge website.

IT'S TIME FOR A NEW A MUSE STUDIO CHALLANGE!

I am the Hostess for this weeks challenge...hop on over to the blog and enter!!!!

But since you are here, check out this weeks challenge......

Mardi Gras, Carnivale, Fat Tuesday.......however you call it, Mardi Gras is next week, so for this challenge I want you to use the 3 traditional colors of Mardi Gras, Purple, Yellow (gold) and Green! It can be any theme, but the 3 colors need to be predominant!

I love our new colors, Grape, and Lido from the Venetian Palette, they're perfect for this challenge!
I started with a Grass Cardstock card base. I used the Corner Chomper to round the corners of the card base. For the layers on the card, first I cut the grape, lido and grass card stock using the Nestabilities Labels 8 dies. I took the Venetian Patterned Lido, I cut a strip and then used the A Muse|Studio Medium Scallop Border on both edges. I adhered the Lime Satin Ribbon down the center of the Venetian Patterned Lido strip. On the layers I used my Quickie Glue Pen to apply diamond glitter to the grape and lime layers and lime glitter to the lido layer. On the smallest grass layer I stamped the crown from the Keep Calm stamp set with Versamark Ink and then embossed it with White Embossing Powder. To assemble, I used the Tombow tape runner to adhere the Venetian Patterned strip to the center of the card. I then layered the grape, and lido layers onto the front of the card using 3D Foam Squares, and the Grass layer using the tape runner. I stamped the saying "It's Good To Be Queen" from the Keep Calm set with Versamark Ink and embossed with White Embossing Powder. I then used Clear Twinkle stickers to add a bit more bling on the scallops and crown.

Here you can see how the layers are elevated.......

Now let's see what you come up with. This weeks prize will be a selection of the new Venetian Palette Cardstock and Ribbon.
If you are in Massachusetts, I live up on the North Shore and would love to share my passion for a muse|studio and stamping with you.....please feel free to email me at tobeystamps@gmail.com I would love to be your A Muse Studio consultant! A MUSE|STUDIO WEEKLY CHALLENGE FOR JANUARY 22,2012

Last weeks challenge was to stamp on anything but paper, so I chose some children's wood dominos that I got at the Dollar Store! The back surface was smooth, and provided a fabulous stamping surface!

I sooo love this new cute little set that will be coming out in the new catalog, February 1st.....called Greetings Earthling. I have had a lot of fun with the "Beam Me Up" stamp!

I stamped the spaceship, stars and "Beam Me Up" saying with StazOn Jet Black. On the stars I used blue star twinkle stickers n the center of each star. For the starship I colored it in with Copic markers. I made a hole in the domino with my Cropodile, went through it easy peasy!! If you don't have you, you totally need one for putting holes in all kinds of things! I then threaded some bermuda stitch ribbon through the hole for a cute outer space tag. This tag would be adorable on a scrapbook page......or as a keychain!

If you like this adorable set, you can order it starting February 1st. That is the day the new catalog goes on line. You are so going to love all the new exciting stamp sets, dies and yummy new colors and papers in this new catalog...stay tuned here for more sneak peeks......

Meanwhile, don't forget the retiring lists. If there is something you have been contemplating, check the retiring lists to make sure that your favorite is not retiring, because once it's gone, it's gone!

BEAM ME UP.......but not before you check out this new stamp set.......

There is intelligent life down here though, and it loves to stamp!!!!

Isn't this set just way too cute? I love the possibilities for this cute new set, Greetings Earthlings!! I made this cute little card with the stars, spaceship and Beam Me Up stamps, using lots and lots of glitter on the stars. Don't you love the new cardstock colors? This card uses Pistachio and Grape. The new catalog comes out February 1st, so start making your wish list out so you will be ready to order!!

I stamped the space ship on sugar card stock with Versafine Onyx Black and then colored it in with Tombow markers 173 (lime) and 451 (bermuda) I cut it out with a Marvy punch (blue)  scalloped oval. Using the Quickie Glue Pen, I outlined the oval and dipped it in diamond glitter. I cut a large oval shape from the grape card stock and mounted the space ship on the grape with 3D foam tape. I positioned it on my card, adhering with Tombow adhesive. Next I stamped the stars across the top of the card using Encore Metallic Silver ink, then used the Quickie Glue Pen to glitter up the stars. For the finishing touch I stamped the Beam Me Up saying in Versafine Onyx Black ink.  Quick and easy, and super cute!!

If you would like to place an order you can email me or place an order directly on my website.

Thanks for looking!

HAPPY 2012!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!! Welcome to a new year of stamping adventures, with lots of exciting and fabulous A Muse|Studio goodness to come!

I will be continuing with the Consultant Blog Challenges, and this weeks challenge is to use Embossing Powder. I love the white embossing powder and have really put it to work with Christmas cards....but now that Christmas is over it's time to write the Thank You notes....so I came up with a a very simple thank you using 2 different stamp sets....I love the clean simplicity of the design, and couldn't resist making more than one in a different color......I loved the tree from the Loving Memories stamp set, and paired it up with the Thank You from the Hand Scripted set. I punched a circle with the darker color and then stamped and embossed the tree with white embossing powder. I then stamped the Thank You on the lighter card base, and again, embossed with the white embossing powder. I tied the satin ribbon around the end with a knot, and attached the circle using a 3D foam square. Clean and simple!

Don't forget to hop on over to the Consultant Challenge Blog and check out the challenges!
