CONSULTANT CHALLENGE
Julie issued another technique challenge to all the A Muse|Studio consultants. You can see the technique video HERE
Here is the card I made using the kissing technique, it was so fun to do that once I got started I wanted to get more stamps to kiss with!

I started out with a Grass card base, I cut the * 1/2 X11 sheet in half, so I had a 5 1/2 X8 1/5 piece, that I folded in half. Then I cut a piece of Sugar yardstick slightly smaller than the card case. Next I stamped the Harlequin background stamp in French Roast ink, and kissed it on the Woodgrain background stamp.....when I stamped the harlequin stamp onto the sugar card stock, I was not impressed....so I took the woodgrain stamp and stamped it on another piece of sugar card stock and liked it much better, and voila, my background was created! I attached it to the Grass card base. I then cut a one inch strip of Buttercup card stock and adhered it to the background layer in the middle of the card. Next I stamped the leaves from the Beautiful Botanicals 2 set in Grass ink, then kissed them with one of the flowers from the same set. I then cut around the leaves and adhered them to the card with foam squares. Next I stamped the butterfly from the Just Because set with Buttercup ink on Sugar card stock and kissed it to the smallest dots in the Polka Dot Patterns set and cut it out.(A little confession here, I lightly inked the dots with Cranberry ink first, to give the butterfly a little color.) I bent the wings where they joined the body slightly forward, then I cut a thin piece of foam from a square, and put it on the back of the body of the butterfly and adhered it to the leaves. I stamped the greeting from the Contemporary Greetings set in Grass ink on Sugar card stock, cut the sentiment out and inked the edges of the sentiment with Grass ink and adhered it to a slightly larger piece of Buttercup card stock with a foam square. I then adhered it to the lower left side of the card.
Thanks for looking, and happy creating!!

ANOTHER BIRTHDAY!
May is birthday month around here, both John's niece and nephew were born a day apart, with me right after! I made this one for John's Nephew, whose birthday is today....yes, it will be a little late getting to him...but it feels so good to have my creative mojo back!
I made another recessed window technique card.....I used Sugar Cardstock, and cut the window with my craft knife. I stamped the Birthday Wishes from the Contemporary Greetings set in Ocean pigment ink. I cut a piece of Ocean yardstick and adhered it to the left side of the card, I used the Quickie glue pen to go around the outside of the window and down where the ocean yardstick and sugar yardstick met, sprinkled on the diamond glitter and shook off the excess. Then I took a slate stitched ribbon and adhered it where the ocean and sugar card stock meet, leaving a little space so you could see the glitter. I lined up the window on a slate card base and stamped the guitar from the Rock star set in ocean pigment ink. I then adhered the card front to the slate card base with 3d foam adhesive. I stamped the "You Rock" also from the Rock Star set in ocean pigment ink on the inside of the card.
All products are available through my a muse|studio website you can browse the catalog and order online and have it shipped directly to your home. Or if you would like you can drop me an email and I can help you process your order. I am also available if you would like to have a party or stamp class, let me know and I would be happy to arrange an event with you!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AND A MOTHER'S DAY CARD....
Sorry it has been so long since I have posted, between a busy inn and being taken down by a nasty respiratory infection, I feel like I finally have gotten a bit of my creative groove back.
John's niece's birthday is today, so I made this this card for her...I love the way it came out, John said it reminded him of chocolate and pink icing.....I wanted to try out Julie's Recessed Window Card, as she issued a challenge to all the A Muse|Studio Consultants to make a card with a recessed window. I love how this came out, and I know that Emma is going to love it!!! I used French Roast and Sugar Card Stock, French Roast Gingham, Shell and French Roast Ink, Nestabilities Labels Four was used for the window. Stamps: Birthday cake from A Very Merry Unbirthday set, Birthday Wishes from the Contemporary Greetings set and the Polka Dot Border from the Polka Dot Patterns set. Meadow Mix Flowers were colored with Shell ink using Sponge Dauper. Twinkle Sugar Pearl Stickers were colored with French Roast ink. I colored the cake in with Copic Markers E29 Burnt Umber, and R00 Pinkish White. The candle was colored in R00 and the flame with R29 Lipstick Red and Y08 Acid Yellow. I used the Quickie Glue Pen to coat the top of the cake with glue and sprinkled Diamond Glitter on it for that extra birthday sparkle. The Polka Dots and Birthday wishes were stamped in Shell ink, the cake was stamped in French Roast ink.

Another Birthday card, this one was for one of our chambermaids. Her birthday was last week, but since I was not feeling well then, we had a little belated birthday party for her on Friday. I loved the color combo of this one! I used Sunflower stamp from the Graphic Sunflower set stamping it in bubblegum, papaya, shell and lemonwhip on Sugar Cardstock. The Happy Birthday is from the Celebrate in Style set, stamped in Momento Tuxedo Black on Bubblegum, which is over a strip of Papaya Cardstock.

And Mother's Day, I made this one for my mother, it was a really quick one, she was practically watching me as I made it! LOL! Well, actually she was watching but couldn't figure it out.....The card base is Shell Cardstock, I stamped the leaves from the Beautiful Botanicals 2 set in shell. I then cut Grass Cardstock using Nestabilities Labels One, and stamped the leaves in grass ink in label. I cut a piece of Sugar Cardstock and Stamped the Happy Mother's Day sentiment from the Everyday Sentiments set in Grass ink. I edged the rectangle with the grass ink for a little definition. I tied a Sheer Organdy ribbon in Lime across the top of the card. I mounted the layers with 3D Foam adhesive.
All of these A Muse|Studio products can be found in my online A Muse|Studio store at http://amusestudio.com/tobey You can order online or email me if you have a large order over $150 and I can help you place an order to qualify for hostess rewards.
