Day 85- DIY Cute Valentine Card For Your Sweetheart (Daily Vlog)

Hi Everyone! Check out this video over on Wendy's Daly Vlog! I had a lot of fun making it with her. Made all that snow worth it, to have Classic Jam here snowed in for the day, as their scheduled presentation at the local school was canceled. All the directions are on YouTube. Welcome back to me…I have been most neglectful of this blog, but with a new year, and lots of great happenings I have resolved to get my blog active again and filled with lots of cards and ideas to get your creativity flowing!

It's Consultant Challenge Blog time, and this week Renee's challenge is to use Twinchies......twinchies are 2 inch squares, and she wants you to use 2 twinchies, and to stamp on at least one of them.....I must confess, that I stamped on my twinchie, but preferred to cut it out and mount it, it must looked more balanced....I used the a muse|studio stamp set "Aren't You Sweet", blush pistachio and sugar card stocks, and slate ink. I cut around the teacups and mounted them with 3D foam.

TIE IT UP!!

This week on the a muse|studio consultant challenge blog the theme is to tie it up, using ribbon, twine or cording on your project......this is a cute little decoration that I made for my upcoming Catalog Launch Party on Sunday March 24th.

I am just in love with the new Anchors Aweigh stamp set with matching dies! I cut the shapes out using sugar card stock, then stamped them with Navy and Cherry pigment inks. The acrylic blocks make it so easy to center the stamp on the die cut, if you prefer to stamp your image first, our new dies come with positioning plates so you can cut after stamping....they make it so easy! I attached the shapes to the bakers cording using washi tape. A cherry button on the end to finish it off.....

LOVING THAT TWILL!!

I made this cute little card for a consultant challenge. The challenge was to use Twill on your card or project. Since I am so behind in my Christmas cards, I thought I would take advantage of the challenge to get my mojo going again. I used a grass cardstock base. I affixed the vanilla twill to the card base. I cut the poinsettias out of cherry felt. I stacked the petals, and used 3 yellow twinkle stickers for the center. I attached that to the card on top of the twill. I then stamped and cut the label using the Vintage Labels 2 stamps set and die and then stamped the Noel from the Nordic Noel set. I used Versafine Onyx ink. I attached the label using 3D foam. Don't forget to Think Pink and Fight Like a Girl!

SPLASH!!!

Some fun cards I made tonight playing with all my new a muse|studio Splash inks! They are so fun, and even the first attempts that I thought would be rejects ended up being turned into cards!!!

Cherry and Orange Splash ink made this background! The tree is the mask I used for the next two cards. The moon is a circle punch of squash! Nothing went to waste with this project!! 

I had fun dying the onyx bakers twine for this card, I put on my non-latex gloves, gathered up the twine in my hand, and sprayed it with the wasabi splash....mooshed it around till it was all covered with the ink, and then spread it out to dry......super fun! Don't attempt to do this without wearing gloves, the ink dries quickly and leaves your hands a lovely shade of green!! 

I used a mask for the tree in this one, cut that cute little owl out after I stamped it, and mounted him in the tree with 3D foam. The bat is a die from the candy box die set, he was the perfect size for this card! 

I used Splash inks for all the backgrounds,for the two cards with the stamped tree, I made a mask with the tree, stamped the tree on the background of the card, then masked it and sprayed it with the Splash inks. They came out so cute!!! The Spooky Boo Day stamp is an October sale stamp, stay tuned for more information on the October Stamp sets on sale...complete info due out later this week!!!

 the challenge for the next couple weeks over on the a muse|studio challenge blog is to make a card with the following three embellishments: at least one button, one ribbon and one flower. 

I decided to use one of the new sets that is a Hostess only stamp set called Dwell in Possibility. HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

Thought I would share a quick little card I made for my mother for mother's day....the colors matched the wrapping paper I wrapped her presents in.......I originally didn't think I wanted to put a ribbon on it, but it looked a little plain for a festive mother's day, so I added it.....

All products A Muse|Studio except black Momento Ink...Floral Duets stamp set, Essential Sentiments stamp set, vanilla cardstock, blueberry ink and fern silky crush ribbon (I love this stuff....if you haven't got any of this ribbon yet, you must....email me and I can hook you up with some, or any of these products.....)  I used a stamp positioner to line everything up the way I wanted, and a ruler to make the stem of the flower with a topic multiliner.
